Shift your perspective, shift your life.

Our future requires us to practice seeing differently. Paintings, writing + tools for the practice. Because we don't get to choose what happens to us, but we do get to choose how we respond.

Practice Seeing Differently

Hi, I'm Emily! I'm passionate about the power of perspective - I believe we get to choose the way we see the world, the way we want to be in the world, and maybe even the way we want the world to be. I am a painter, writer, speaker, and creator.

I’m the founder of Tell Me 3 Good Things, a community practice where we Notice, Name + Share good things as a way of keeping hope alive in challenging times. I’m also the creator of the f/LIGHT DECK, a tangible tool to help curious people shift their perspective and change their lives.

Artwork

Flowers

Flowers are the ultimate symbol of hope - they crack open in darkness and grow toward the light.

Horizons

Horizons are the ultimate symbol of possibility, stretching out before us as far as the eye can see.

Rocks & Shells

An exercise in noticing. I am happiest on a beach collecting rocks and seashells.

Colorful abstract painting with thick textured brushstrokes and bright colors including yellow, green, purple, pink, blue, and orange.

f/LIGHT DECK

The f/LIGHT DECK is a tangible tool designed to help you shift your perspective and change your life. Twenty eight vibrant art cards with concrete actions, questions, and affirmations that can be used anytime you’re feeling stuck.

One card can help you see things differently, and together the whole deck offers a path to transform the way you approach a situation, a conversation, a relationship, a life.

Tell Me 3 Good Things

A simple practice to help us connect to more of what’s good in our lives and in the world.

Blessings

Words of blessing can change us - and in doing so, words of blessing can change the world.

“If we don't change the direction we are headed, we will wind up where we are going."

Lao Tzu

Bring Emily to Your Community Team or Audience

Part story, part reflection, part invitation.

Emily’s talks and workshops create space for people and groups to pause, reconnect, and recalibrate attention - and consider how they move through the world - especially in moments that feel heavy, complex, or uncertain.
