I made this painting, “Onward,” in January 2020. The original painting is 30x40 inches, and was part of my solo show, “Note to Self: Paintings as Reminders” at The Fleckenstein Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland in March 2020.

The note on the face of this painting - “Do not stop. Persevere. Go on.” - was a reminder to myself at the time, and now it is a reminder to all of us.

All profits from the sale of this print will go to the ACLU, because we need to support and protect our civil liberties now more than ever.. This is part of my small effort to use my art as a vehicle for change.
