I believe in cleaning the kitchen cabinets once a year. I believe it's refreshing and uplifting and totally worth the effort.
(They can't all be super deep and philosophical - there are going to be 100 of them!)
I do my cabinet cleaning every year before the Passover holiday; there is something satisfying about sucking the crumbs out of the bottom of the Tupperware drawer with the hose of the vacuum cleaner, and I'm convinced it's worth doing regardless of religion or observance.
I believe that I can breathe more deeply when the accumulation of the detritus of a year's worth of days is wiped away and I can delight in the prospect of starting again.
