30/100 Days of I Believe

I believe in parking for the exit. I’m probably due for something deep and thought provoking here, but this is today’s truth. It’s a lesson i learned from my mother (though probably not on the list of things she set out to teach me) and an excellent and valuable lesson. Park for the exit.

That means backing into the parking space whenever possible. Turning around, sometimes, so you’re parking on the side of the street that will take you to the highway when it’s time to go home. And when you’re parking in a garage, find a spot near the exit ramp instead of near the elevator. Or, better yet, park on the street instead. Walk a little farther to get where you’re going, it’s worth it to be heading in the right direction when it’s time to go.

Park for the exit. I believe it.
