6/100 Days of Seeds of Light

The thing about life and light and goodness is this - we get to choose. We get to choose how and where and when we give our attention, and we get to choose our how we see the world.

We get to choose whether we focus our attention on the hassle, or on the joy. We get to choose whether we focus on jet lag and exhaustion, or on the pink clouds in the sky at sunset. We get to choose whether we focus on the endless carpools, or on the laughter coming from the backseat.  We get to choose whether we focus on running out of gas, or on making it safely to the shoulder. We get to choose whether we focus on what we don’t have, or all that we do.  In every moment, in every day we get to choose. ✨
And each time we choose to pay attention to the goodness, we make a little more space for a little more goodness in our lives - and in the world around us.

The thing is this - even if you don’t believe that goodness begets goodness (and I’m going to try to convince you otherwise over the next ninetysomething days), paying attention to goodness absolutely leads to paying attention to more goodness.  And when you practice paying attention to goodness, I promise you will see goodness more easily and often.

The paying attention is the planting, the goodness is the light.
